Hi there and welcome to my blog.
I’m a poet and writer of short stories and I reside in the United Kingdom, though I am American.
I am a gay female. I am old enough to know better and young-at-heart enough not to worry. I have many life experiences and I enjoy sharing them through my poetry and writing. I am not, nor have I ever wanted to be male (just to answer THAT question). I am for want of a label, a Butch (read masculine entity) . Some, not all butches prefer the use of semi-masculine pronouns. When typed or written they would appear as: Hy, Hys, Hym and maybe even Hir. When spoken, they sound exactly the same as He, His, Him and Her.

Please do not be startled or put off by these pronouns within my writing. I ask you just to accept that most of my compositions are referring to my life and my experiences, hence the use of those particular pronouns. They may indeed seem strange, but from a literary perspective, they are most assuredly not. Great poets of times gone by used these spellings though not for the same reason. Chaucer, Samuel Johnson, Sir Thomas More, and others.

I am also a two time cancer survivor.

As far as hobbies go, I am an avid photographer, I read like there is no tomorrow and I am an online radio DJ. I also sing in three choral groups and am a member of a musical theatre organization.
